4. Leave and pay

If you are unable to have alternative working arrangements, you and your manager can discuss:

  • annual leave or time off in lieu
  • making up lost working time at a later date
  • arriving late and/or leaving early without loss of pay
  • travel reimbursement (as a last resort) if your alternative journey costs you extra money
  • special paid leave, if you have made every reasonable effort to come into work but have been unable to do so.
