Your standards of conduct at ACME reflect the general principles and rules of conduct for all civil servants set out in the Civil Service Code.
General conduct
- be ready and willing to work in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in your employment contract
- familiarise yourself with Departmental procedures and be ready to carry out all reasonable orders and instructions
- make sure your private interests don’t conflict, or be seen to conflict, with your official duties or with the interests of the Department
- do not use your official position to further your private interests
- do not divulge confidential Departmental information to third parties
- be honest and don’t attract suspicion of dishonesty
- deal effectively and efficiently with members of the public
