Activity Managers should:
- set your objectives within one month of the new reporting year or within one month of you joining their team/project
- agree these objectives with you and send a copy to your Development Manager.
- meet regularly with your development manager to give feedback on your performance and development needs
- ensure that you are treated as part of the team eg included in team meetings
- send your development manage an end of project report covering performance against objectives; this should be done within two weeks of a project ending
- tell your Development Manager when a training/development need arises, so that he or she can arrange appropriate training
- allow you to attend training courses, including those that do not relate to their particular project
- help you to develop in the role by addressing performance issues as soon as they arise and to tell your development manager about these issues and how they are resolved
- formally involve your Development Manager where issues persist
