4. Pensions and excess hours
Pensions
As a part-time member of staff you can participate in the Principle Civil Service Pension Scheme.
Excess hours
Hours worked over your contracted hours will be paid at the plain-rate of pay until you reach the normal FT hours for your grade (normally 36 hours). After this point you’re your pay will be calculated in the same way as an FT member of staff.
Additional work at weekends or public holidays will qualify for any related additional payments.
