2. Set up a video conference
Booking equipment
Video conferences take precedence over other meetings.
Connection
- video conference calls go through an ISDN connection and are not compatible with IP based connections
- unit make and model: Sony PCS-1P
Making calls
- Turn on TV – button is on the underside of screen on right
- Turn on video conference unit – button is on right, a black switch
- If you don’t see yourself or the room on the screen, press ‘Source’ on the TV remote to scroll through the channels till you do
- Use the video conference remote to highlight ‘dial’ and press enter using the keypad
- Enter the telephone number of the person you are contacting (no need for a ‘9’ before the number)
- The unit will dial and connect automatically
- You’ll see and hear the user at the other end – if you do not hear them check that mute is off
- For incoming calls, the telephone number is: 0207 193 0087
- To receive an incoming call turn on the TV and video conference unit. You’ll see yourself on screen. A ‘Meeting starts’ prompt will appear, you’ll see the people at the other end and the meeting will begin
