2. Set up a video conference

Booking equipment

Video conferences take precedence over other meetings.

Connection

  • video conference calls go through an ISDN connection and are not compatible with IP based connections
  • unit make and model: Sony PCS-1P

Making calls 

  1. Turn on TV – button is on the underside of screen on right
  2. Turn on video conference unit – button is on right, a black switch
  3. If you don’t see yourself or the room on the screen, press ‘Source’ on the TV remote to scroll through the channels till you do
  4. Use the video conference remote to highlight ‘dial’ and press enter using the keypad
  5. Enter the telephone number of the person you are contacting (no need for a ‘9’ before the number)
  6. The unit will dial and connect automatically
  7. You’ll see and hear the user at the other end – if you do not hear them check that mute is off
  8. For incoming calls, the telephone number is: 0207 193 0087
  9. To receive an incoming call turn on the TV and video conference unit. You’ll see yourself on screen. A ‘Meeting starts’ prompt will appear, you’ll see the people at the other end and the meeting will begin
