Making a complaint guide Guide

Overview

There’s a formal process you can follow if you want to raise problems or concerns you have about:

  • your work
  • the actions of your line manager or your work colleagues

Your complaint will be taken seriously – and wherever possible resolved to your satisfaction.

Discussions are strictly confidential and you’ll be under no pressure to take your complaint forward.

Resolving an issue informally

If the problem you have relates to someone’s behaviour towards you, the best and quickest way to resolve things is to speak to the person informally.

Make clear exactly what your worries are and, if appropriate, how you would like the situation resolved.

You may also want to speak to your Development Manager, a Trade Union representative, or HR. They will help and support you.
