Claim expenses policy guide Guide

5. Non-ACME staff claims for travel and subsistence

  • Advisory Non-Departmental Public Body Members
  • Members of Committees and Advisory Panels
  • Non-Executive Directors and Members of the Public

Non-ACME staff are entitled to claim for Travel and Subsistence at the same rates that apply for ACME staff and any claim must comply with the ACME Travel and Subsistence Rules. All claims for incidental expenses must comply with Government Accounting and Audit Rules. Sponsor Divisions must ensure that committee members are made aware of the rules.

Claims must be submitted on TS8 NDPB and Non ACME Travel and Subsistence Claim Form and sent to the relevant Sponsor Division. The form must be countersigned by the designated ACME countersigning manager (at least Grade A) before transmission to Liberata for payment. All claims must be accompanied by relevant receipts and tickets. The requirement for a TS3 Form prior approval form does not apply to NDPB committee members.

There is a departmental database of all public appointments which is maintained by Sponsor Divisions.  Committee members are usually considered to be equivalent to Senior Civil Service Heads of Division in ACME.
