2. Bank and privilege holidays during other absences
When bank and privilege holidays fall within a spell of:
- Annual leave – they are not recorded as annual leave. Similarly any day off in lieu of a public or privilege holiday is not recorded as annual leave
- Special leave with pay – they are not counted in the total number of days special leave with pay being allowed
- Special leave without pay – they are not counted in the total number of days special leave without pay being allowed, but you will not be paid for them. However, if there is a public or privilege holiday at the beginning or end of a specific period of special leave without pay, you will be paid for that day
- Sick absence – they are recorded as part of the sick absence. However, a public or privilege holiday at the beginning or end of a period of sick absence is not recorded as part of the sick absence
