If you break a ACME laptop through carelessness or deliberate misuse, you won’t be given a replacement.
Care
- store the laptop appropriately
- keep clean and dust-free
- keep away from food, drinks, animals and children
Security
Never:
- let family or friends use your ACME laptop
- leave unattended in a public place
- leave a laptop unattended overnight
- put in hold baggage on public transport or planes
- leave on show in a car, even when you’re inside the car
- leave overnight or for long periods in a car boot
- use a laptop bag – use less obvious bag instead
Always:
- make sure the laptop is in your line of sight and secured if you got to a restaurant or bar
- take your laptop with you to the toilet, unless you trust a colleague to look after it
- store your laptop in your room safe or with front desk at a hotel, whenever you’re not in the room
Data
- keep the login and password for your laptop separate from the equipment
- store sensitive documents on a ACME issued data stick away from the laptop
- do not store personal information on your laptop
