7. Timing
- made simultaneously in the Lords and the Commons
- cannot be made:
- on non-sitting days
- during recess, except on specified days in the summer recess
As the statement needs to be made on the same day in the Lords and the Commons, avoid releases on Fridays, as both Houses seldom sit on these days.
