- Times New Roman, 12 point
- Heading:
- as succinct as possible – a maximum of four words if possible
- write out acronyms in full
- Times New Roman 12 point, bold, centred, initial capital letters
- Statement:
- ministerial title (name) followed by the text of statement
- no numbered lists, bullet points or chart
- Tables:
- Use Word to create tables
- No hard returns within cells
- No vertical merging of cells
- Minimum typeface of 10 point
- For two or three short columns, use the Tab key as separator
Start the Lords statement with the words: “My Hon or Right Hon Friend the [Minister for X] has made the following Written Ministerial Statement…”. Other than that, make the statement text identical for both.
