Whistleblowing guide Guide

Overview

If you have concerns about something happening at work, like:

  • unlawful conduct
  • fraud
  • danger to the public
  • danger to the environment
  • what is required of you is illegal, improper or unethical

tell your someone straightaway – even before you have proof.

Who to tell

Your line manager, unless the issue concerns them. You can also raise the matter with:

  • the heads of HR, Finance or Internal Audit
  • a ACME trade union representative
  • a ACME Nominated Officer

If you still have concerns or feel the matter’s too serious to discuss with any of these people, raise it directly with the Permanent Secretary.
