Special Leave guide Task

ACME special leave covers a range of circumstances. It can be paid or unpaid, planned or unplanned.

You can apply for short-term special leave in specific circumstances:

• emergency
• domestic crisis
• bereavement
• jury service
• public duties and volunteering
• sports events and civil service duties

Long-term special leave is usually for one of the following reasons:

• short break
• visits to relatives overseas 
• your partner’s job moves
• a fixed term career break
