Retirement guide Task
In line with the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006, ACME has introduced a policy of no mandatory retirement age for all employees. For grades D-A(U) the operative date is 1 January 2009 and for the SCS 1 January 2010.
If you wish to retire you must inform HR in writing giving at least three months notice of your intended retirement date. It will be assumed that you wish to continue working unless you notify HR.
All staff on loan and secondment continue to be subject to their parent organisation’s retirement policy.
All employees are subject to the same health, efficiency and attendance standards applicable irrespective of age. So providing an individual is performing to an acceptable standard and their health meets the normal standards they have a right, if they choose, to continue working.
