3. Deductions
Income Tax, National Insurance Contributions and PCSPS or other miscellaneous superannuation scheme contributions are deducted from Pay under statutory authority.
Voluntary deductions
If you wish to make voluntary deductions for any of the organisations listed below contact the organisation and complete their forms. They will then arrange for deductions to be made.
- National Savings Bank Clubs
- Civil Service Medical Aid Association
- Civil Service Retirement Fellowship
- Hospital Saving Association
- Hospital Saturday Fund
- Local Hospital Funds, Hospital Contributory Schemes and Provident Funds
- Civil Service Benevolent Fund
- United Kingdom Civil Service Benefit Society
- Post Office Insurance Society
- Civil Service Sports Council
- Departmental or departmentally recognised trade unions – this can be withdrawn for the duration if you take part in industrial action
You can also make tax efficient voluntary contributions to charity.
If you wish to stop any contribution email HR with the date you want payments to stop, providing at least a month’s notice.
