This guide contains information on our pay and grading structure.

 

Pay award

You pay award may have two components:

  • your pay-zone increase – this is consolidated in to your basic pay. If this takes you above the  maximum of the pay band this will be paid as a non-consolidated bonus
  • a one-off performance related payment – this is related to your last annual report marking

Starting pay

You will normally enter a pay range at the minimum. In exceptional circumstances you may start above the minimum if you have relevant qualifications or experience. Your starting pay cannot exceed the maximum of the pay range.

If you were employed on a fixed term contract and have become permanent under an open competition you will retain your existing pay.
